Power BI for property & facilities management

Turn property and compliance data into one operational view

Bring inspections, compliance, maintenance and contractor performance into one management view, so you can see what is overdue, where the risk is and which sites need attention.

The problem

Compliance data is everywhere except in one place.

Property and facilities teams hold huge amounts of data: inspection reports, FRA action logs, EICR certificates, lift examinations, PPM schedules and contractor job sheets.

It usually sits across a CAFM system, contractor portals, shared drives and spreadsheets. Producing a compliance report means chasing all of them, and high-risk actions can slip through.

  • Compliance status rebuilt by hand every month
  • Overdue FRA and EICR actions hard to see across sites
  • Contractor performance based on anecdote
  • Board and client reporting that takes days to prepare
The solution

One model for your whole portfolio.

We connect your CAFM exports, inspection records, action logs, asset registers and contractor data into one Power BI model, then build dashboards for directors, property managers and site teams.

  • Portfolio compliance by site, asset and compliance stream
  • Overdue and high-risk action tracking
  • FRA, EICR, fire alarm, lift and water hygiene status
  • PPM completion and reactive maintenance trends
  • Contractor SLA and first-time-fix performance
  • Upcoming inspections and certificate expiry
Demonstration dashboard

One operational view of your portfolio.

This is the kind of dashboard we build for property and facilities teams: compliance by site, overdue and high-risk actions, FRA progress, contractor performance and upcoming inspections, refreshed automatically from the systems you already use.

Power BI can bring together:

  • Property inspections
  • Compliance
  • FRA actions
  • EICR status
  • Fire alarm inspections
  • Lift compliance
  • PPM
  • Reactive maintenance
  • Contractor performance
  • Outstanding actions
  • Asset registers
  • Site performance
  • Risk information

FAQ

Power BI for property and facilities questions.

Anything else, ask us during your free Power BI review.

Can Power BI connect to our CAFM system?

Most CAFM and compliance systems can export data or provide an API. We will assess the best connection route for your system during the free review.

Our compliance data is in spreadsheets. Is that a problem?

No. Spreadsheets are a common starting point. We clean and standardise them, and can help you move them to SharePoint so they refresh automatically.

Can different users see different sites?

Yes. Row-level security can restrict each user, client or contractor to the sites they are responsible for.

Is the dashboard on this page real client data?

No. It is a demonstration built with fictional sites, contractors and figures to show the kind of reporting we deliver.

Do you carry out inspections or compliance work?

No. Insightmere builds the reporting. Inspections, risk assessments and remedial work remain with your existing contractors and competent persons; we bring their results together in Power BI.
